“How do you know but ev’ry Bird
That cuts the airy way,
Is an immense world of delight,
Clos’d by your senses five?”
-William Blake, from The Marriage of Heaven and Hell
Jupiter and Venus in the backdrop of the Pleiades usher us into a new energy zone, with quite a Full Moon change up. This Full Moon can lighten things up and get things moving. Stretching out beyond the tight cluster of these last few months, the Gemini Sun gathers up a plethora of planets into its beehive of sweet love (Venus) wisdom (Jupiter). Are you tuning to the refreshing messages and incoming information? (Is our Sun really an outer star of the Pleiades cluster?)
Gemini is an open-minded sign, curious and interested in various points of view. At best, the Sagittarius Moon intuitively foresees, with vision and a sense of direction. We keep our eyes on the goal, holding our vision clear in our hearts. Gemini can get easily distracted, yet some of these 'distractions' offer new, sometimes surprising ideas and perspectives we need moving forward. Do pay attention. Even simple daily things can be fraught with complexities and questions– and choices. Make yours count, from the heart.
Sabian Symbol Storylines
Sabian Symbols are images for each degree of the Zodiac that offer insights to the energy of that degree when activated by a planetary visitation. Here is the symbol for the Venus/Jupiter conjunction at 30 Taurus [we round up the degree up in the Sabian system]:
"A Peacock Parading Its Splendor on the Terrace of an Old Castle"
What do you feel from this image?
So very Venus in its imagery, with a royal flavor of Jupiter, is this a fairytale reminder of a classical world of beauty, elegance, grace, the peacock reveling in its beauty we can appreciate?
or perhaps tinged with self-conscious pride of the trappings of a world gone by?
Is this an inspiration for the New Earth we want to create?
What is the relationship between the world that was and the world we will recreate?
This last degree of Taurus suggests long-established traditions that we look at in this moment, as we stand on the cusp of major change. Which traditions are worth carrying forward? We can look back at the 'good old days' with a touch of nostalgia or attachments to 'the way we were.' What calls to you?
The parading peacock also brings to mind the loudly broadcasted 'Parade of Planets' foreseen for June 3. More discussion of this on the Flower Moon youtube video with Honey C Golden, and below. We also mention of two of the farthest solar system discoveries: SEDNA, recently entered Gemini in its 12-14,000 year solar orbit conjuncts the Sun on this Full Moon, and the 2015 discovery of ineffable LELEOKUHONUA with an orbit of 30,000 years around the Sun!
Meanwhile the Sun is at 3 Gemini, where we find this Sabian Symbol with a kind of echo:
"The Charming Court Life at the Garden of the Tuileries in Paris"
In a world of light, of camaraderie and co-creation of beauty (without an underlying dark layer of corruption), would you not want to walk in that charming garden with picturesque pathways, surrounded by flowers and blossoming trees, fountains and sculptures? There should be such a garden or park in every town.
And, of course, let's consult the Full Moon degree to imagine more of the unfolding storyline:
"Two Men Playing Chess," a strategic game that requires experienced skill, focus, an ability to look ahead at potential outcomes. Keeping the goal in mind, ready to respond to moves by the other person, this game is like a dialogue with options unfolding along the way. What moves result in your ultimate success may seem round-about in the moment but, like a detour that take a bit longer to get to the destination, avoids danger and a snarl of issues. The game is changing, the rules are changing. More options are coming into view. The old way is not working, old strategies are not working in this new dimension we are moving into.
Mars, in its strong sign Aries, can be impulsive; so can Gemini! This combination leads to an "I'll try anything once" attitude—which can be useful to move forward in your life when you don't quite know what to do. Especially when the bridge to the old world is collapsing— bridges have literally been collapsing around the world, as we hear in the news. We need to look for new ways to get where we want to go, discover new strategies for operating our lives. We need to try new paths; seeming 'detours' can lead to quite magical places.
This strong, courageous MARS energy is conjunct both the NORTH NODE/ DRAGON HEAD (our collective destiny) and CHIRON (critical turning point, holistic, healing energy), calling for alternative, out-of-the-box, aligned action. We are challenged to maintain our clarity, centered in integrity, to answer the call that is beckoning. It is prime time to develop your own strategy for the changes you want to experience in your life. Why not?! We can't keep doing what we have been doing as the world is literally falling apart around us. One of my friends, whose life has been altered by recent current events, is ready to consider new options, radically beyond her old way of thinking and challenging to her sense of security. She says she senses her current life washing away in the wake of the waters disappearing behind her.
"Ye elves of hills, brooks, standing lakes and groves,
And ye that on the sands with printless foot
Do chase the ebbing Neptune and do fly him\
When he comes back; You do yet taste
Some subtleties o' th' isle that will not let you
Believe things certain."
[You are still influenced by the magic of this island,so that you do not believe that anything is real.]
—Magician Prospero speaking in Shakespeare's The Tempest, Act 5
Neptune is at the far end of Pisces, stations to turn retrograde at 29 Pisces 56, in early July. On the cusp of Aries it retracts, like a wave on the shore, pulling old sandcastles away in the undertow.
Not until next year does Neptune enter the fresh territory of Aries, at the end of March 2025, lasting into 2039. The last round of Neptune in Aries was 1861-1875.
Saturn, also now in Pisces, soon follows in May. The conjunction of these two planets at the front edge of Aries through the summer cuts a clear line in the sand, as powerfully as Pluto's entry into Aquarius. Another indicator of a New Era. We are never going back to what was. Are we going to get used to NEW? CLEAR? FRESH AIR? INSPIRED FIRE? LIQUID LIGHT? This Full Moon invites us there.
