Black Moon Solar Eclipse at 10+Libra

New Moons are often called ‘Black Moons,’ because we don’t see the New Moon; the last of the pre-dawn slivery crescent has disappeared into Sun’s light. On a Solar Eclipse, some parts of the world will see the black Moon’s disk cross in front of the Sun, haloed by a glorious Ring-of-Fire. This time the path includes Argentina, Chile, EASTER ISLAND-see below-and partially across parts of the South Pacific.

Another reason this is a Black Moon New Moon is that Black Moon Lilith, both its mean and true positions, are in the very 10+ degree of the New Moon eclipsing the Sun. We measure the movement of the Black Moon in its true position that retrograde back and forth A LOT, and its mean average motion forward through the zodiac. It is fairly unusual for both positions to be in the same degree—a Lilith Flash point—when they can be even 30 degrees different. One of the fascinating intricacies of Black Moon Lilith is finding your two positions and seeing if they are in the same or different signs or houses. Black Moon is a deep soul-spark energy that evokes and compels us to live from our authentic essence.

This is a South Node Eclipse, with Black Moon and Mercury very closely conjunct. South Node/ Dragon Tail brings in from the past and asks for resolution of what is out of balance—especially in relationship: relationship with ourSelves, with others, with our environment and ‘all our relations’. Karmic balance needs to be restored so that we can elevate and move on to new horizons. In Aries, North Node/ Dragon Head calls us to courageously forge a fresh trail, leaving baggage behind. Pluto is finishing its business in Capricorn. How much can we let go of old ways and means, agendas, jobs, modes of being that appeared to promise security but do so no longer? Mars, ruler of Aries, is in Cancer. Travel light, take only what you need on this adventurous journey.

Here is this New Moon Solar Eclipse video with Honey C Golden, which she titled, “Red October! New Moon Second Moon and The Black Moon.” [Have you heard of that ‘second moon’, asteroid, or whatever it is, that is projected to orbit the Earth for a short while?!]

Note the Sabian Symbols that tell a tale of danger, being protected and coming through it from the dark to the light; and of questioning and considerations. Are you looking through subjective lenses, through glasses darkly, or are you seeing truly who you are speaking to what is going on around you?

We discussed the Eclipse dynamics with the influence of Black Moon and Mercury on the South Node, and the exciting North Node conjunction with Kuiper Belt Object SALACIA, that has been ongoing for some months. Plasma light is streaming through our solar system in unprecedented waves. I share my dream in which I was given the phrase, “Prelimbinary Solar Flare” spelled just that way, I am still not sure what it means, except to suggest that this Eclipse may have the feel of a solar flare, and that the ‘binary’ world we are living in is addressed in some way.

We also looked at the strong trine in water signs emphasizing feelings, sensitivity, psychic intensity, tenderness, self-care, and compassion— Saturn in Pisces (what are the hidden messages in your waters?), Venus in Scorpio (ruling the emotional alchemy of this Eclipse) and Mars in Cancer (where it will mostly hang out all the way into next April!) A very active Mars squares the Eclipse and rules Aries, sign of the North Node. It is a time for careful and caring action.

What I did not get into during the video, for simplicity sake, is the presence of the KBO named Makemake, a recreator god of the Rapa Nui people of Easter Island. I am still contemplating what this energy is about, sifting through all the misinformation about the history of this remote island. Many huge extraordinary statues, called Moai, are found around the island, found to be buried deep in the ground. These statues were carved to honor their ancestors. No remote islanders would cut down all their trees to move such statues, as has been written. I have done some research into the cultural abuse perpetrated by invaders along with the likelihood of environmental catastrophes devastated the island and its people. Its true and noble history is still to be fully revealed. I offer some tentative themes for this new Dwarf Planet.

THIS ECLIPSE WILL BE VISIBLE IN EASTER ISLAND!

I feel this addition to the strong cadre of archetypes on deck for this Eclipse is hopeful on many levels. What is your intuition telling you? I find it intriguing that Makemake’s discovery date is when Neptune moves into Aries next year.

Each year clan warriors descended a steep cliff and swam across a channel to bring back the first tern bird egg, representing new life. The winner’s clan chief became king for the year, as Makemake’s earthly representative.”
