Each year the Aquarian New Moon announces the Chinese New Year.
We enter the CHINESE YEAR OF THE GREEN WOOD DRAGON
on February 9, 2:59pmPST, 5:59pmEST, 10:50pmGMT/
February 10, 9:59amAEDT, and 8:59am in Beijing.
Here is the New Moon video I made today with Honey C. Golden focused on Dragon energy, cosmic Dragon stories and how dragons show up in astrology related to eclipses. We take a peak forward to the upcoming April 8 Total Solar Eclipse.
ENJOY!
Dragon energy is highly intelligent, determined, directed and, at times, daunting. A Wood Dragon is grounded, capable of envisioning new beginnings and and bringing them into manifestation. Don’t be surprised if dragons make themselves known. They must have been real at some point in the past for them to have made such a strong impact on our imaginations and dreamspace.
You are a Dragon if you were born after the Aquarian New Moon in 1938, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, or 2012, and continuing into the first weeks of the following year. There are 5 elements: wood, fire, metal, water, earth, evoking different qualities of Dragon energy.
2024 is going to be a very different experience than the 2023 Year of the Rabbit!
Uranus! —Bolt out of the blue! Revolutionary! Radical! Unexpected! Shocking! —
is the most pronounced planetary dynamic of this New Moon, in a close, activating square that augurs fireworks during this Moon cycle! Uranus just turned to forward motion on January 27. It has had plenty of time while retrograde (since late August) to plug us into some new power socket. Electro-magnetics and the Schumann Resonance, heartbeat of Earth, may soar into new frequencies.
This month is going to awaken everyone out of any lingering complacency, working very well with the new Aquarian cycle of Pluto. Several personal planets encounter Pluto as they enter Aquarius this month. Mercury has its ‘initiation’ February 5; Mars on February 13; and Venus on February 16. Venus joins Mars in a joint Pluto encounter for an emotional transformation of unusual quality, affecting relationships.
Aquarius embraces the virtue of ‘caritas,’ charity. Thomas Aquinas wrote of caritas as "the friendship of man for God", which "unites us to God," and that "the habit of charity extends not only to the love of God, but also to the love of our neighbor."
I discuss these potent Plutonian planetary conjunctions more fully with astrologer and medium Sherile Turner-Myles in the recent post called, “A Parade of Planets Meets Up with Pluto.”
