Jupiterian Full Moon at 24 Gemini/Sag

If you had a clear sky, Jupiter was easy to see, glowing brilliantly and standing stately strong, close to this Full Moon in Gemini. Did you see any ‘shooting stars’ from the Geminid Meteor showers, peaking on the 14th?

It’s ready two days past this Full Moon! Cosmic Inspiration is coming out late!
I can’t remember being late for a Lunation almost ever, if at all, since I started writing these in 2004. The mutable planetary pattern with Jupiter/Full Moon in Gemini, Sun/Mercury in Sagittarius, Saturn/Neptune in Pisces (plus Orcus in Virgo) is playing around with my Sun/Mercury in Sag, especially as the Full Moon is closely opposite my Mercury and Jupiter is very opposite my Sun (not to mention my two planets in Virgo)!.

I have been traveling for the first time in months with a series of different environments to start with. I went to a Full Moon puja on the 14th and finally started to write this newsletter on the evening of the 15th, put in 5-6 hours, just about finished and somehow almost half the newsletter disappeared! There is always a good reason for all occurrences, and one has to be flexible with all this fluid, shifting changeable energy these days. I was feeling pressured; something had to change. Today, the 16th, was not feeling like writing.

So! I decided to send out what I have written and keep writing each day until I feel finished. I may add some audio in. It’s time for a splurge of creativity, as you will read below.

Hanging like a round beacon in the sky, announced by a meteor shower and accompanied by the kingly planet, Jupiter, this Full Moon has lots to communicate on many levels and wavelengths.
Whether subtle, impressionist or psychic, quick-witted, questionable or contradictory, mysterious and deceptive or blatant and directive — what messages are coming your way? how is your mind processing? Gemini tends to ask a lot of questions, and is, as a sign, curious and open-minded to what the answers could be. A strong Jupiterian influence can make for some embedded, even strident belief systems that limit openness to other points of view. This Full Moon energy may be full of contradictions, stretching polarized points of view like an elastic band that can’t stretch much farther. The Sabian Symbols (below) suggest such a storyline: any superficial and unconsidered Gemini opinions may slip on that thin ice. All viewpoints need to be aired, even though social dialogue, debate and discourse continues to be contentious, likely until we pass the peak of the Jupiter-Saturn square in the next month and two.

On this Full Moon, the Sun in Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, holds a positive vision of the future. The Sun in intuitive Sagittarius can instantly tell true from false— if it doesn’t second-guess itself through an oppositional Gemini inconsistency.
(The “I should have listened to myself” syndrome is one that Sagittarius eventually overcomes through experience.)

Mercury, at its turning forward point in fiery Sag, may need more processing time for this rapid fire information overload. Turning within to hear what you know in your heart and soul will quell the stress—as will media time outs. Listen to yourSelf. You know. Sagittarius needs to ‘walk its own talk’; so listen to what you are talking, and welcome feedback that lets you know when you’re ‘off-track’.

Personally, with this Jupiter/Full Moon combo opposite my Sun/Mercury, I have been "‘off-track’ more than usually, out of my normal routines and a bit overwhelmed with a kaleidoscope of activities, movement and plans. I am grateful for this Mercury pause point, though it has delayed this Full Moon missive and is also missing the video accompaniment this time.

Mercury turning direct at 6+ Sagittarius, gives us a delightful Sabian Symbol for inspiration. Whan I was looking it up, I saw the 8 Sag symbol first, and like it as a profound follow up as Mercury moves onward stimulated by something deep inside. Maybe this Symbol will play our literally (as they often do), revealing knowledge from our deep history and rich gifts from our evolving Earth. What new thoughts, perceptions, discoveries, insignts may be unearthed t guide us into the New Year?

While Venus, Mercury (extended by retrograde) and Sun have been transiting Sagittarius over the last couple of months, they activated a mutable cross with Jupiter in Gemini,
Saturn and Neptune in Pisces and
Orcus in Virgo. This Etruscan underworld god in the Kuiper Belt, plunges us into an underworld passage akin to Pluto, necessitating letting go of what is holding us back in order to free a deeper level and honoring of our Soul Being. The VIrgo energy processes this purging through our bodies for detoxifying and healing old wounds while reconnecting us with Divine Mother Nature and her evolutionary renewal.

Under the ongoing Saturn-Jupiter square, some of our current experiences may exceed our bandwidth of the believable. Orcus, Oath-Maker and Oath-Breaker, suggests cutting the cord with stale agreements and beliefs that we picked up from family, culture, education, or other collective influences. The Sagittarian arrow strikes home to the Truth, ringing the bell of your inner knowing.

Sun and Full Moon are closely square Neptune, adding some confusing nuances along with spiritualizing upliftment as we head into a era that takes us beyond our experience thus far in this life and many lifetimes. We might as well let go of any expectations. We will be increasingly reminded that we are entering a major new world, prophesied by many cultures and seers for thousands of years. Do you believe that? Neptune first enters Aries at the end of March, heralding a fresh start, a New Dream. Start dreaming big now!

Also note CHiron at 19+ Aries, the degree of the April 8 Chiron Eclipse. Whar were you experiencing at that time? Chiron has been at this degree from mid-November, soon turning direct on December 28 just before the next New Moon, and will inhabit this degree well into February:

Many of you follow other astrologers to add insights, which I encourage. I am especially interested in astrologers who are now using the KBOs and Trans Neptunian Objects (TNOs), with their invitation to quantum consciousness.

We looked one KBO in the ongoing key planetary pattern of this Full Moon: Orcus urges us to release agreements that hold us in old bonds, so we are free to lift into this new level of consciousness.
VARUNA is another KBO activated in an intriguing patterns on this Full Moon:

VARUNA at 9+Leo conjunct MARS retrograde ast 5+ LEO
opposite PLUTO at 0+/ CERES at 2+ / VENUS at 9+ AQUARIUS
all square BLACK MOON LILITH at 9+ SCORPIO (true BM position).
Do note the 9-9-9 of Mars, Venus, Black Moon.

This is a highly emotional dynamic, even just from the opposition of Mars and Venus, often best channeled into creativity, be it artistic or otherwise— especially with Mars in Leo. Mars is retrograde in Leo through the first week of January, then retreats into Cancer for 4 months, turning direct in February and returning to Leo in April.

On December 7 Venus was conjunct Pluto and is still in range of Pluto’s new placement. Empowered Venus in Aquarius is emotionally spacious and friendly, inviting us to transform our lives in resonance with Ceres, Mother Nature, in her own evolutionary process. Together Venus and Ceres call for joy, love, harmony, the Common Good and Well-Being of all life on this planet.
The Leo-Aquarius polarity raises questions for us each to answer about our role, how we want to express our individual sovereignty, in the transforming social context of this new Aquarian era.

Mars conjunct Varuna

Varuna influences the internal process of Mars retrograde with ancient Vedic wisdom concerning Universal Law. Are you in alignment with the Cosmos, or is the willful ego running your live? It is time to recalibrate. As spiritual warrior, perhaps especially when retrograde and tapping internal desires, Mars is willing to stand for, fight for, to forge ahead on the high road. With the serpent he uses as a lasso, Varuna reins in those who flaunt and digressed from Universal Law, upsetting the Cosmic order. Collectively we are called to activate the Hero within to realign our desires with the Truth of our Hearts and Souls. With the influence of Varuna, Mars (especially during its retrograde ‘re-do’) has potential to express the Divine Masculine.

As God of Waters, Varuna will stimulate increasing research and revelations about the mysteries of living waters. So much information is coming out about the properties amazing intelligence of water. Videos that have recently come to my attention are Primordial Code and What is Primary Water? The work of Veda Austin in communicating with water is shared in many interviews, including with Pam Gregory and Heather Ensworth, among others.

The key point in this highly charged planetary pattern is Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio [I am using the true Black Moon here; the mean Black Moon is in Libra, opposite Chiron, evoking right relationship with all of life, to be discussed further.]

In Scorpio, Black Moon goes deep into processes of emotional alchemy, tapping into and letting go of undesired, unworthy judgments we make upon ourselves, others and life itself. Black Moon reflects back our fears, anxieties, all such shadows that dim the light of the soul.
