Solstice Full Moon at 1+Capricorn/Cancer

Any lunation on a solstice or equinox is like an exclamation point, highlighting its significance. This Full Moon is a particular spotlight, pointing to importance of this turning point moment, in this turning point year.
This Capricorn Full Moon is full of import, reflecting in various manifestations the life force of the nurturing Cancer Sun accompanied by both Mercury and Venus. Since the June 6 New Moon, the Sun/Venus/Mercury trio has crossed the solstice point from Gemini into Cancer for a change of tone we will surely be feeling, each in our personal way. A caution with Cancer is to be careful not to take things too subjectively personally; the Capricorn Moon may be an antidote for this, as we witness that we are not the only ones experiencing the current situations 'on the ground'.
We now need to draw on the heart intelligence that has changed our minds during the waxing Moon. The special Venus Star Point infusion in Gemini had the potential to open our perception, for mental reception to the wisdom of our hearts. This is a way through which our higher consciousness conveys soul-deep messages to our minds. Can you relate to this from your experience in the last two weeks?
With so much activated Gemini energy, now including expansive Jupiter, Life picked up a more rapid pace. Through the high Gemini influx of the last month, I felt a kaleidoscope of divine energies were circling, transmitting from the cosmic world through the intuitive language of Astrology. Are you aware of new voices, thoughts, images, any particular differing influences now clear to you and claiming your attention? Whatever was ‘possessing’ me, I was acting as if I had more than my two arms — like a Hindu goddess. I kept dropping things; I'm not there yet!
What am I holding on to? I ask myself and my Cancer Moon. Some things may be holding me back—old habits, automatic reactions, constraining attachments to things and people. Other things I need to maintain and take care of, needed in order to move forward.
Here on this Solstice Full Moon, we have a quiet extended moment here to feel this soft, nurturing shift into Cancer, an upliftment into a more relaxed place inside ourselves. In Cancer, we are digesting the rapid input of the last several weeks.
Cancer seeks a sense of home, perhaps suggesting home-making, cleaning, sorting and re-arranging, finding ways to create increased comfort and beauty (the Venus vibe) in our home spaces. Or attending to family matters, to nurture the family bonds. As well, in this cosmic homecoming moment, we attend to our inner sanctums, our soul center where we can be private with/in our Divine Being. Do you have a personal bond with a particular deity that reminds you of who you are?
Sabian Symbol Storyline Images
So many of us love these symbols for the meaningful, evocative input.
Moon at 2 Capricorn:
"Three Stained-Glass Windows in a Gothic Church, One Damaged by War"
My take: It does feel like we've been in some kind of war over the last several years. Life is irrevocably changed and changing, with some inescapable damages and losses. The 'bridge' has clearly burned behind us and we can't go back to what was. We are heading into our future, with sustained hope that we can create a better world ahead. What does this image say to you?
Sun at 2 Cancer:
"A Man on a Magic Carpet Observes Vast Vistas Below"
When we look at things from our higher minds, we can see the larger picture. Make time in this 'Sun-Still,' Solstice moment to take such a magic carpet ride and gain perspective on the vastness of possibilities on offer— and, perhaps more immediately, what is going on in the larger world. We are all in this together.
Both of these Sabian Symbols feel Neptunian to me, bringing the spiritual and the subtle wavelengths of our experience more obviously to our attention. Neptune has a major impact on this Full Moon, squaring Sun/ Full Moon from the far end of Pisces, at the precipice of its sign change into Aries. How astoundingly different does that sound!? But not quite yet— in a few days Neptune turns retrograde, on July 2-3.
As I wrote last time, "On the cusp of Aries it retracts, like a wave on the shore, pulling old sandcastles away in the undertow. Not until next year does Neptune enter the fresh territory of Aries, at the end of March 2025, lasting into 2039."
Especially in these last several years, Neptune in Pisces has been rocking the boat, effecting a bit of sea-sickness. 'Reality' has been fluid and changeable, morphing shape even while educating us about the holographic universe we live in, and the potential of our conscious engagement with it.
As Neptune approaches so closely to Aries, we may begin to gain some glimmers of clarity, even while sailing some still-choppy waters.
Neptune and Saturn, both in Pisces, are turning retrograde at essentially the same time: Saturn on June 29-30, Neptune on July 2-3, both going back over what we have experienced this year. Saturn retrogrades from 19 back to 12 Pisces, referring especially back to March Equinox time. What situations were going on then in your life? Some resolution or further development may be on offer.
From the far edge at almost 30 Pisces, Neptune returns to 27 degrees, where it was, also in March. You may be feeling differently now than you were then. We've all certainly been impacted by the solar and galactic waves of energies incoming. This is a good time for deeper integration, on both physical (Saturn) and spiritual (Neptune) levels.
We have this double retrograde time to clear the fog. pollution or shadowy impact in our Neptunian field from surrounding misinterpretations, confusions, illusions and delusions. Withdrawing from outside static is essential for this exercise in fine tuning, for tuning up our bodies, minds and spirits, addressing any addictive habits that we know in our hearts are keeping us on a lower energy level than we need to be. Saturn in Pisces suggests compassion with discipline, a focus on Grace and forgiveness of ourselves and others for succumbing to weaknesses in dark times, even while shaping up and taking responsibility.
Mars moved into Taurus on June 9, a steadying energy for grounded energy, practical action and getting things done. Its slower pace can be more relaxing, like the pace that a garden grows, slowly but surely (with the right conditions and attention). Then, suddenly, there is the flower, there is the fruit.
Something about that slow pace changes as Mars moves into the range of Uranus, nearing the end of Taurus. The exact date of this dicey Mars/Uranus conjunction is July 15, with an extended range of a good week on either side. THINGS ARE HAPPENING that could be radical and very surprising. With Uranus involved, it is basically impossible to make predictions, except to 'expect the unexpected'. Â
We may get some hints on July 1-2, when Moon conjuncts Uranus. Â (Note that's when Neptune turns retrograde.) Â And the next NEW MOON shortly follows on July 5-6, with a Destiny Line activation, especially for the U.S. with its July 4 birth chart activated. Star Sirius, brightest in our sky and so close to our solar system, is also activating our experience during that lunation. Â Keep tuning up your frequencies!
For even greater import, the conjunction is at 26+ Taurus, therefore aligned with the challenging and much-maligned Star Algol, thereby adding more to the already activated mythology in that part of the sky. I have already shared some writings about Andromeda; now we bring in Perseus and Medusa. [Contributors enjoy full access to all my writings shared here on Substack.]
UPCOMING— I will be a guest on Wendy Wright's "Light Always Wins" podcast in the coming week or so. We will be discussing this compelling conjunction. Lots to say, which will be posted for everyone when ready.
ASO UPCOMING— Pluto Through the Signs discussion zoom. Watch for announcement.
Note: I am not including the conjunction of the Capricorn Full Moon with KBOs Ixion and Quaoar in this Cosmic Inspiration News edition. We did look at this on the Full Moon video with Honey Golden. Please listen here if you are interested.
