This spicy, dicey Full Moon is bound to turn the world inside-out in some ways, a fitting fruition of the powerful Ring-of-Fire Libran Solar Eclipse on October 2-3. This Full Moon almost feels like another eclipse, with such strong activity accompanying the Moon in Aries— which lands right on a very spicy, dicey factor—ERIS— with CHIRON standing close by.

Chiron is enough to indicate a critical threshold for consciousness and healing; Eris suggests the ways and means that this happens. She tends to stir things up, and gets a lot of encouragement to do so.

A potent grand cross involving Moon, Sun, Pluto and Mars creates a trigger point, a turning of the wheelthat somehow changes our world. (musical interlude: Wheel in the Sky by Journey) A grand trine in water signs can offer a safety zone of comfort, compassion, and emotional alchemy if we make time to feel our way into that inner space.

THIS IS AN ERIS FULL MOON, with this contentious warrior goddess in the same 24th degree Aries as the Moon. Who is she?

HAUMEA, Hawai’ian Goddess of CHildbirth, is just across into Scorpio. The Sun is a week away from moving into Scorpio on 10/22 and conjuncting Haumea. Venus was conjunct Haumea on September Equinox weekend. Her energy of gestating is a strong undertone of this Moon. This face off with Eris is an intriguing contrast, with a theme of bringing in something new and, likely, highly unexpected.

Adding the square to Pluto to the mix, remembering its volatile, martial opposition with Mars, kicks up the hot spicyness of this lunation.

THE GRAND TRINE IN WATER SIGNS, SPEAR-HEADED BY MARS, IS IN SYNCH WITH PLUTO’S LAST HURRAH IN CAPRICORN.
