En-Lightning Full Moon at 27+ Aquarius

This image suggests the mythic relationship between the classic Sky God and Gaia/ Earth, which had quite some volatility that depicted here. This image has particularly meaning with Uranus in earth sign Taurus now, as earthquakes and wild weather thundering across the globe, Earth is responding to cosmic influences that are sweeping through the whole solar system.

A Royal Decree from the Heart of the Lion is the main story this month of August.

The August 4 New Moon found Venus reclaiming her Royal status as Queen of Heaven and Earth, as the Evening Star aligned with Regulus, the Lion's Heart Star. The Sun now takes that Royal Regulus throne, with the Full Moon in Aquarius reflecting the solar Heart Light. Mercury, in retrograde, stands with the Sun, proclaiming solar decrees through the Heavens and Earth, as well as our hearts.

These decrees come through with highly-charged dynamics, as Uranus closely squares Sun and Moon— Full Moon at 27+ Aquarius, Sun at 27+ Leo, Mercury at 26 Leo, all very closely square Uranus at 27+ Leo, for Enlightening Lightning, reverberating with cymballic shock and awe throughout the lands.

You flash like lightning over the highlands,
You throw your firebrands across the earth,
Your deafening command, whistling like the South Wind,
Splits apart great mountains.
Holy Priestess, who can soothe your troubled heart?

See how close the Uranus squares are, the closer the stronger. Note that Pluto is about to return to Capricorn for its last 11 weeks of dismantling old systems. Uranus is clearly doing its part! especially in these two upcoming waning weeks of this Moon cycle.

Like thunderous lightning crashing directly overhead, Uranus is holding in at this degree as it slows to turn retrograde on September 1— the same day Pluto returns to Capricorn! Uranus occupies 27+ Taurus from August 8-8-8 (!) Lion’s Gate, to September 27. That’s quite a stretch of time— half of Leo, all of Virgo, and through the Equinox into Libra.

Let’s look at the Sabian Symbol that is getting such extended airplay. [I use the original Marc Edmund Jones version channeled by Elsie Wheeler, rounding up to the next degree.]
The Sabian symbol for 28 Leo is an intriguing one:
”A Woman in Middle Life Stands in Rapt Sudden Realization of Forgotten Charms, in Unexpected Recovery of Romance.”
'Sudden’ and ‘unexpected’ are two words associated with Uranus, for sure. The storyline itself is unexpected! And that’s totally IT! This Uranus-infused Full Moon is bound to bring wildly surprising and shocking developments, full of revolutionary impact, like a totally unexpected plot twist. Even though we have been seeing lots of such events this month already, there are yet more world-shaking, light-up-the-skies lightning bolts to come. To say it will be ‘exciting’ may be an understatement. This odd-ball planet is like a wild card; it doesn’t play by ‘the rules’.

This Sabian symbol image of the woman in love offers another take, making this Uranus activation more personal, suggesting we look inward, into our personal experience for the awakening that Uranus can evoke. Uranus is the higher mind, sometimes considered the higher octave of Mercury or even Venus (Aphrodite Urania is a special designation of the Goddess of Love). This image portrays a surprising reawakening of love, joyful emotions sweeping through suddenly and unexpectedly, a new flowering of life’s possibilities at a time when they were considered past, a delightful new lease on life. I wonder how it will come about for each of us, whether old or young. “Bring me a Higher Love.” The Cosmos is full of surprises beyond our expectations, and beyond the mundane. Of course, there will be repercussions on the ground level as well.

As this woman has shown up, I am glad I noticed that Fire Priestess Vesta, a symbol of spiritual devotion, conjuncts Sun at 27+ Leo. She tends the sacred fire on this Full Moon and is fully present in her inner temple. Many faces, facets of the Goddess are emerging for this lunation. Shall we recall that In many cultures, the Sun Goddess was honored as the life-giving source. On this topic, Patricia Monaghan’s book, O Mother Sun!: A New View of the Cosmic Feminine, was a wake-up book I had been looking for when it appeared in one of those serendipitous ways. Eventually she became my dissertation advisor.

Something wonderful is bursting out from within us, from our hearts and souls, personally and as a collective. It surges as creative, innovative force of life.

We can make a resourceful and energizing grand trine in fire to add more magic to this Full Moon.

A grand fire trine with Sun/Mercury, Chiron and Varda brings this creative surge to another level. Sun/Mercury is closely trining Chiron in Aries, which just turned retrograde, a catalyst to operate on all levels of our being—spirit, mind, body. It will point out static in your field that is holding you back from taking initiative spurred by your integrity of Being. Listen and lighten up.

At the third corner of the grand trine we find Varda. One of the most awesome beings in the Kuiper Belt, she is Tolkien’s highest archangel, beloved by the Elves for lighting up the stars to shine in the sky. At 26 Sagittarius, she is channeling angelic light from the Galactic Center, the Heart of our Milky Way Galaxy. Listen to your intuition, the musical voice in your dreams.

Varda also takes part in a grand square, mostly closely squaring Neptune in Pisces on one side and true Black Moon in Virgo on the other. From the Heart of the Galaxy we are receiving a soul deep reminder to commune with ‘Animal Mundi’, the Soul of the World, our spiritual heritage. Are we dreaming the world? Or is the world dreaming us?

A mutual dialogue is in play as we see in the rest of the dynamics of this grand criss-crossing of planets. All are interfacing with the multi-faceted Mars/Jupiter conjunction that keeps the news coming fast and a bit furious, like a storm. Our belief systems (Jupiter) are being battered and challenged from all angles. Gemini is a most open-minded sign. It is in our best interest to consider various points of view. We might learn something important and to the point—especially with Saturn square Jupiter on this Full Moon.

Venus in Virgo demonstrates Nature's Beauty and Bounty, opposite Saturn in Pisces for concentration, consecration, focus and vibrational resonance. This opposition supports us in our healing process to align with Divine, to clear static and pollution in emotional waters, lift and dissolve the weight of wasted emotional attention, distraction, obligation, accommodation that drains our energy, exhausting and discouraging. We are called to attention before we go into that downward spiral.

Black Moon occupies two positions now, like a beam of light that flows through two slits in the field, the same light in different wavelengths or tonalities. True Black Moon in Virgo evokes refined soul essence to Venusian emotional intelligence, stimulating our subtle senses especially in relation to Nature. We feel our bodies engaged in this refinement, perhaps asking for shifts in dietary, environmental or daily routines.

Mean Black Moon is close to the South Node in Libra, lessening tolerance for pleasing others before our Selves in disregard of internal guidance, for being agreeable to the choices that compromise our integrity. Enhancing our relationship of heart and soul is primary, as well as prioritizing heart over head. Mercury is retrograde after all, stepped back into the light of the Sun for translating Life Force over ego messaging/programming.

Our living Mother Earth, CERES, continues to square the Moon's Nodes, our collective line of Destiny. Highly significant, Ceres has been thus involved in our global destiny for some months and will continue to be for some months more. Her Earth wisdom, rhythms and cycles are essential to our well-being. WIth North Node in Aries, we can choose anew a path that moves us forward in harmony with Earth and her evolution or, if we revert to the South Node, one that slides back into mistakes from the past.

We find mean  With such a strong activation of Uranus on this Moon, our choice to be courageous or be lazy, has profound implications for our wellbeing along with wellbeing of Earth; we are intimately related. Are you feeling this?
